Cancellation policy: You will receive a full refund if you cancel at least 7 days before your arrival date. After that, refunds are given only if your dates can be re-booked.

Please note: Merrynook is a non-smoking cabin, and pets are not allowed. A 3-night minimum stay is required when using this form, but requests by phone or email for two-night stays are welcome.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE NATIONAL PARK (as of March 19, 2024)

The 2023 winter storms caused considerable damage in Sequoia Kings Canyon, but roads are finally being repaired.

​

  • Highway 245, which connects the cabin to Highway 180, is closed until sometime in June. Detours are available.

  • Access to Giant Forest via Generals Highway from the northern (Big Stump) entrance (15 minutes from the cabin) is now OPEN.

  • The foothills region, accessed from the southern entrance, is open, but Generals Highway from Hospital Rock to Giant Forest Museum will be impacted by major road repairs in April and May (check the Park website for updated information).

  • Cedar Grove and the heart of Kings Canyon will be closed until sometime in June, as CalTrans completes repairs to Highway 180. Read an extensive report about this project on Boyden Cavern's website.

  • Crystal Cave will be closed for all of 2024.

  • Mineral King may reopen this summer, TBA.
